Specialised Courses to be held for ATU Students during Summer 2018
Specialised Courses to be held for ATU Students during Summer 2018
What: ATU"s Centre for Training Open Specialised Courses (CTOPS) is going to provide 100 specialised and public courses to students and the public in the Summer 2018. The Skill Development Project started from February 2017 in the form of specialised courses, aiming at developing the students" technical and occupational skills. This Centre was first established with the aim of removing the gap between theory and practice, increasing students" specialised skills, and preparing them for entering the labour market. The first round of this project was highly received by ATU students and more than 2800 students took part in 94 public and specialised course. Given the successful organisation of the courses in the previous round, the CTOPS is going to hold 100 public and specialised courses this year. These courses are designed according to the students" needs, in partnership with different organisations and institutions, including the Technical and Vocational Training Organisation, State Welfare Organisation (Sazman-e Behzisti), Academic Centre for Education, Culture and Research (Jahad-e Daneshgahi), and the like. These courses which are held at the suggestion of the departments and approved by Vice-Presidency for Education, include one public and one specialised course held free of charge for ATU students, while further courses can be used with a 40% discount. Given the great number of students registered last year, this year the CTOPS is ready to provide the courses to at least 3000 students. When: The 2018 courses will be available from 28 June to 2 October 2018 in ATU main campus (Dehkade-ye Olampik, West Hemmat Highway, Tehran, Iran) and ATU School of Graduate Studies (Tavanir St., Valiasr Ave., Tehran).
